Avocado Music Podcast Episode 17 - Stoke the Fire Launch 13th November 2011

Hello and welcome to the "Stoke the Fire" Podcast.

Stoke the fire is a brand new event in London bringing you Inspirational Words, performance and music from an array of talented artists from the UK and beyond. There are no stylistic limitations and the emphasis is on new ideas and work.

Stoke the fire is brought to you by musician friendly production company Avocado Music Productions (www.avocadomusic.com) where it's quality of art and not quantity of money that counts, and the event is hosted by composer and performer Bird Radio, AKA Mikey Kirkpatrick, that's me. (www.birdradio.co.uk)

This monthly event was launched on 13th November 2011 at the Ryan's Bar Basement, Stoke Newington, London, where the landlord Jed is very supportive of his local community of artists. The idea came I heard about Vaughan Williams' afternoon tea set  meetings with artists at the turn of the 20th Century where they shared new work and philosophies.

The Stoke the Fire series of events is about open community and sharing, so should you have any new performance projects you are looking to share with an open-minded and respectful audience, just contact me through www.avocadomusic.com or www.birdradio.co.uk

This podcast is a recording of the first event and features performances by the Pocket Guerilla Orchestra, Kate Ryder, U'mau, Chiara Ambrosio, Sexton Ming as Jude Hagg, Emannuel Spinelli and Roger Redgate, Nicholas McArthur and three piece Eigenharp band Bang Stroke Blow.
